On the banks of Moses Lake

Hi to all, and greetings from the fine and sunny banks of Moses Lake, WA - illustrious site of our first meet for the fast-approaching 2015 XC season!

Just a few more days before Craig and I leave you alone for three weeks, so thanks in advance for keeping up the good work until we meet again at 8:30am on August 24th.

I'm wrapping up the last of my summer library road trips this week, and I really do love to explore on foot at the end of the day. And thus, without further ado, a few shots of the Moses Lake race course - just to get you thinking :)

The START. Facing west. Wide, but then quickly narrow the right of center and then following the edge of the park around to the left. LOTS of grass. Not too long. Maybe a quick sidewalk crossing or two on each lap.

The HILL. Not really that big of a deal, but we will check it out when we preview the course. High school runs it 3 times. Jr. High... I can't quite remember. I also don't remember these little concrete pads from running here 2 years ago, but it's a frisbee golf "tee box" and it's a pretty safe bet that the course will avoid them.

The FINISH. Along to the right and then a turn toward that alley through the trees -- center photo - left of the small building.

The END! Happy running, swimming, hiking and biking. We'll see you later in August!
