Friday Night Team Time Trial - 10/20/23

RACE COURSE: 3200m. LBHS track. Flat. Fast. And an amazing night of weather and speedy, season-sharpening races!

OVERALL: Thank you! THIS is the kind of night and effort and aftermath that makes coaching so much fun :) You all took it seriously. You all prepared. You pushed. You helped each other to run some excellent times, and you seemed to have a lot of fun in doing it. The pizza and Mafi hangout session afterwards were the icing on the cake -- or the toppings on the 'za (or something like that!) The championship racing starts this week and you are ALL ready to rip it!

Full results are posted further below. They were also added to the Hokka Postal Nationals website and may show up on your athletic.net pages after 10/31 when the Hokka event window closes and all teams have posted their results.

**Orlo had theater conflicts on Saturday night, so he and Erik met for the time trial at 9am on Saturday morning. We targeted a 6:20/12:40 goal but fell slightly behind on lap two (1:40). A steady effort was made to catch back up over three (1:37.1) and four (1:33.8) for a 1600m time of 6:26. And from there, the Orlo train kept right on rollin'. Tucked in a step or two behind for laps five (1:33.1), six (1:32.4), and seven (1:31.3), Orlo was finally able to really throw it down when Erik got out of his way and stepped off the track with a lap to go. The final lap was 1:11.9 and Orlo's closing 1600m 5:49!

Great work again to ALL and thanks for putting in the extra efforts on a very busy Friday & Saturday!
